![]() ![]() Head into Settings > General > Picture in Picture and make sure that the switch next to Start PiP Automatically is turned on. No luck? Try checking your iPhone’s Picture-in-Picture settings. If that doesn’t happen, make sure to switch the video to full-screen mode, and then swipe up (or press the Home button). Swiping up (or pressing the Home button) while playing a video within a PiP-supported app will automatically bring up the PiP video pane. Turn On Automatic Picture-in-Picture Mode To update the apps on your iPhone, long-press the App Store icon on the Home screen or App Library, and then tap Updates. You may also want to check the release notes for an app whenever you see a new update listed within the App Store. So, your best bet is to keep updating any app that doesn’t support PiP yet. Since Picture-in-Picture mode is very popular, most developers will surely incorporate it into their apps. For example, YouTube doesn’t (check below for a workaround, though). Third-party video apps such as Netflix and Hulu also provide PiP functionality, but you will come across a fair share that don’t. Update AppsĪlmost all native iPhone apps (Apple TV, Music, Podcasts, etc.) support Picture-in-Picture mode. That could help fix any bugs related to PiP. If you are still on an older version of iOS, head back to the previous screen, and then tap Software Update to upgrade your device to iOS 14.Įven if you are on iOS 14, it’s worth installing any incremental updates, if available. To check your current iOS version, head over to Settings > General > About. The stable release of iOS 14 is out, and you can install it immediately on any supported iPhone (starting from the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s Plus upward). I hope ZTE comes up with a upgrade to fix this issue or I'm gonna have to get another phone can't take this BS.Have you upgraded your iPhone to iOS 14? If you are still on iOS 13, you can’t use Picture-in-Picture mode. IDK what else to do I use my music all day at work drive allot gets me thru the day. Changed them with no luck also downloaded all my music using Wi-Fi so you can play when you have no signal no luck still does not work. Called ZTE tech support said it was pause feature causing issues told me to change my quality settings in spotify. After 7 day warranty period new phone started doing the same thing go figure the 8th day just out of warranty. I decided to get it replaced with same due to very first ZTE. Said they could get me a different phone or wait for order to come in to get the same one replaced. Took it back to cricket and of coarse they were out of stock of this phone and have never heard of a problem like that. Pausing on all music thru spotify, dezzer and so on. Problems within the warranty time frame 7 days thru cricket. My old ZTE stopped charging correctly so I figured I'd get a new one had the old one a really long time and I loved it worked great never gave me any problems so I'd thought I'd get a new one. My initial request to ZTE was sent through their website, but I think you can email them directly at: luck guys!! I know how INFURIATING it is! Which reminds me, I have to email them to let them know I'm holding on to it until further notice! I want to leave that option open for myself. they were willing to take the phone again. In the meantime, I had contacted ZTE again and they opened another repair ticket for me. I can't say for sure that's what fixed it (in fact, I'm highly skeptical), but I figured it wouldn't hurt to share what helped me this time around. Worse than it was before! I thought that maybe using GPS did something to the phone since the problem came back the second I used it again (I had forgotten at the time that I had already used GPS since getting my phone back), so I downloaded an app called GPS Status and clicked Reset GPS. As soon as I started using the app, the pausing problem came back. Until one day I went for a run using a running app that tracks my progress. Long story short, I got my phone back and all worked well for over a month. Before I shipped it though, I called Metro and explained my situation and asked them if they can temporarily hook my old phone back up again while this one was getting fixed. They fixed it for free because I only had it less than a month, I just had to pay to ship it there (like $7 from MA to TX). I ended up having to send my phone to ZTE for repair. ![]()
